The course is intended for automation professionals seeking to use LOGO! modules for solving routine (simple) automation tasks.
Practical exercises are carried out on a personal computer using LOGO! training kits (or: educational demonstration units)
The course duration is 2 days.
1. Overview of the LOGO! module family: key technical specifications and application features in industrial automation.
2. Overview of the LOGO!Soft software. LOGO! Soft Comfort: a software package for program development, testing, and documentation. Operation of the package in offline (stand-alone) and interactive (online) modes.
3. LOGO! Programming: entering and editing programs in LAD (Ladder Logic) and FBD (Function Block Diagram) languages; the symbolic editor; program protection against unauthorized access.
4. LOGO! Functions: basic and special functions of LOGO! modules, including analog signal processing functions and text message generation on the built-in LOGO! display.
5. Parameterization of LOGO!
6. Centralized and decentralized control system architectures based on LOGO! modules; the use of expansion modules and switching (coupling) modules for implementing distributed systems.
7. Program debugging using the LOGO! Soft Comfort package. Fault diagnosis of equipment and sensors utilizing the built-in hardware facilities of LOGO!. Using the LOGO! cursor control keys for manual intervention into the program during RUN mode.
