Description
The course is intended for specialists involved in the installation, commissioning, and operation of Siemens power converters (MICROMASTER and SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES frequency converters, SIMOREG DC MASTER DC converters). The course covers the application of converter technology for various drive tasks, methods for setting up and optimizing converters, as well as diagnostic techniques.
Course duration: 5 days.
1. Overview of Siemens converter technology and its areas of application.
2. Design principles and operation of frequency converters (FCs) and DC converters.
3. Overview of control modes and review of necessary options, commissioning the converter.
4. Integration of frequency converters and DC drives into automation systems.
5. Demonstration of connecting the training workstation to the converter.
6. Working with operator panels, controlling the frequency converter from the panel.
7. Parameter organization system.
8. Converter diagnostics. Resetting the converter to factory settings.
9. Configuring converter operating modes.
10. Examples of using built-in functions.
11. Working with the converter using specialized software ("DriveMonitor", "Starter").
12. Controlling the converter via PROFIBUS network.
