Description

The course is intended for specialists involved in installation, commissioning, programming, and operation of SINAMICS S120 family drives.
The course covers the application of SINAMICS S120 family converters for various drive tasks, methods for setting up and optimizing drives, diagnostic techniques, as well as the integration of drives into SIMATIC automation systems.

Practical exercises are conducted on a training workstation equipped with a SIMATIC programmer based on a personal computer, a SINAMICS S120 group drive, a programmable controller of the S7-300/400 family, and an operator panel. The group drive is built using a Basic Line Module and an Active Line Module, Single Motor Modules, a CU320 control module, and an SMC30 sensor connection module.
The course duration is 4 days.

1. Overview of Siemens low-voltage drive technology;
2. Design and operating principle of SINAMICS S120 family drives;
3. Connection and commissioning;
4. Functional capabilities of the drive;
5. Configuration and optimization of various operating modes;
6. Working with the STARTER specialized software.
7. Introduction to drive programming using DCC charts;
8. Integration of the drive into SIMATIC industrial automation systems:
Drive control via PROFIBUS/PROFINET interface.
